Policies & Requirements

Welcome

At Furry Murray, we provide a safe, structured, and loving home environment for every pup. The following policies help ensure the best experience for all pets and their owners.

 

Safety & Behavior

For the safety of all pets and staff, we reserve the right to refuse service at any time to any pet displaying aggressive behavior or disrupting our safe and friendly environment.

New Client Requirements

Meet & Greets
Available by appointment only on Saturdays between 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM.

 

​Trial Requirement
All new dogs are required to complete a daycare or overnight trial prior to their first extended stay. During the trial, we assess whether the dog is social, non-aggressive, comfortable in a group setting, and does not display excessive barking or separation anxiety

In some cases, we may recommend another service that better suits your pet’s needs.

Health Requirements

 

General Health & Cleanliness:

All dogs must be clean, in good health, and free from any condition that could jeopardize other guests. Dogs that are unwell should stay home.

Owners must disclose any medical issues or history, including allergies, pre-existing conditions, and any special care requirements, prior to their pet’s stay.

Required Vaccinations:

  • Rabies

  • DHPP (Distemper, Hepatitis, Parvovirus, Parainfluenza — also known as DHLPP or DAPP)

  • Leptospirosis (Lepto)

  • Bordetella (Kennel Cough)

 

Recommended:

  • Canine Influenza vaccination is strongly recommended but not currently required.

 

All vaccinations must be:

  • Current

  • Administered at least 7 days prior to boarding or daycare

  • Submitted prior to drop-off

 

Proof of current vaccinations must be provided by email prior to arrival.

 

Flea & Tick Policy:

We maintain a flea and tick-free environment.

  • All pets must be on an approved flea & tick prevention

  • Flea collars and sprays are not accepted

  • If your pet is not protected, we will administer treatment at drop-off for an additional charge (30-day waterproof protection)

If fleas or ticks are found during pet’s stay, they will receive a flea bath at your expense. Please ensure your pet is clean and thoroughly checked prior to arrival. A list of approved prevention brands is available upon request.

 

Spay/Neuter Policy:

Dogs that are not spayed or neutered are accepted; however, a $5 per day fee will apply.

We are unable to accept female dogs in heat.

 

Scheduling & Hours

Drop-Off & Pick-Up:

  • By appointment only

  • Drop-offs: 7:00 AM – 6:00 PM

  • Pick-ups: Before 9:00 AM on the day of departure

Pick-ups after 9:00 AM will incur an additional full-day charge.

Closed: Sundays and Holidays (no drop-offs or pick-ups)

After-Hours Appointments

Appointments scheduled:

  • Before 7:00 AM (6–7 AM)

  • After 6:00 PM (6–7 PM)

  • House visits 6-7am and 6-9PM

Will incur a $25 after-hours fee.

No-Shows & Missed Appointments 

Furry Murray operates by appointment only. If a scheduled drop-off is missed without notice, the reservation will be considered a no-show. No-shows will not receive a refund, and the full service fee will be charged. Please refer to our cancellation policy for required notice and fee details.

 

Murray Mobile – Transportation Policy

Murray Mobile provides safe pick-up and drop-off for your dog, including trips between your home and ours, to the veterinarian, or to grooming appointments.

  • Dogs must be leashed or in a secure carrier.

  • Service areas and availability may vary.

  • Owners must provide accurate addresses and care instructions.

 

Pricing:

Starts at $15, depending on distance and location.

Fees & Charges

  • Unaltered Dog fee: $5/day

  • After-Hours Fee: $25

  • Holiday Fee: $15/day per pet or per service (Also applies to holiday weekends: Fri-Sun for Monday Holidays)

  • Flea Treatment: Additional $10-$15 if needed

  • Medication Administration: $5 per service; all meds must be clearly labeled with dosage instructions

 

Accidents & Bath Fees
If a dog has an recurring accident in their crate/home or becomes excessively dirty, a $25 cleaning fee and/or bath fee may be applied. You will be notified, and any applicable charges will be added to your invoice.

These measures help maintain a clean environment, keep your pet comfortable, and prevent the spread of germs.

Client Portal Communication & Booking Policy

All service requests, scheduling, updates, and non-urgent communication must be submitted through the client portal via Time To Pet. This ensures accuracy, proper documentation, and efficient management of all services.

The portal is the primary and required method of communication for:

• Service requests and bookings

• Schedule changes or cancellations
• General messages and updates
• Uploading and maintaining current vaccination records

Clients are responsible for regularly checking the portal for confirmations, updates, and important notifications.

Text messages or direct calls may not be monitored in real time and should not be relied upon for scheduling or time-sensitive requests unless otherwise specified.

Reservations & Deposits

A 20% deposit is required at the time of booking.
This deposit will be applied toward your total balance.

 

Cancellation Policies

Pet Sitting:

  • 14-day notice required for cancellations or date changes to receive a deposit refund

  • Early returns are still charged for the full reserved stay

Daycare:

  • 48-hour notice required or full charge applies

House Visits & Walks:

  • 24-hour notice required or full charge applies

 

House Visits & Walks

Lockbox Policy:
Lockboxes are available for a one-time fee. Once provided, we are not responsible for lost, stolen, or misplaced lockboxes. You are also welcome to provide your own lockbox if preferred.

 

Agreement

By booking services with Furry Murray, you acknowledge and agree to all policies listed above.​

We recommend booking at least two weeks to one month in advance during peak seasons.​

 

Pricing is subject to change. Please note we may be closed on certain dates and times.
