Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
What is a Pup-date?
A Pup-date is a daily photo or video update showing how your dog is doing, playing, and enjoying their stay. This service is complimentary and helps you stay connected with your pup while they’re with us.
Does my dog need a trial stay and how do I know if they are a good fit?
All new dogs must complete a daycare or overnight trial. We assess that they are social, non-aggressive, comfortable in a group, and free from excessive barking or separation anxiety. Dogs must get along with others and are supervised at all times to ensure a safe, structured environment and that they are a good fit.

What Are the Health Requirements for My Dog?
Dogs must be healthy, clean, and free from any condition that could affect other guests. Required vaccinations are Rabies, DHPP, Leptospirosis, and Bordetella (Canine Influenza is recommended). All vaccinations must be current, given at least 7 days before drop-off, and proof emailed prior.

All dogs must also be on current flea and tick prevention. Flea collars are not accepted.
Are dogs kenneled or crated?
We are a kennel-free environment, so pups enjoy supervised, open play during the day. For safety and comfort, dogs are crated at night and during mealtimes. Feeding in crates helps prevent food sharing, reduces the risk of food-related aggression, and ensures each pup eats their own meal.
What does a typical day look like for my dog at Furry Murray?
At Furry Murray, pups enjoy a structured, safe, and fun routine. The day begins with a morning potty around 6–7 AM, followed by breakfast. Supervised play and enrichment happen throughout the day, and nap time is scheduled from 12–1 PM. Dinner is served in the evening, and after an evening potty break, bedtime is around 9–10 PM. This schedule keeps dogs happy, comfortable, and engaged while they’re with us.

What should I bring for my dog?
Owners must provide food for the entire stay (plus extra in case of delays), medications with instructions (if applicable), a leash, collar, and ID tags, and any special dietary items or treats if your dog has allergies. Comfort items, such as a bed, blanket, or toys, are optional and brought at your own risk. If you forget to bring your pet’s food, we can provide for an additional fee.

Will you give my dog their medications?
Yes! We can administer any form of medication as specified. Please ensure all medications are clearly labeled and include dosage instructions. A starting fee of $5 applies for medication administration, depending on complexity and frequency.
